On Saturday. I Wanna Work For Diddy Season 2. It twas someting else. Oh wait, I will copy and paste the play-by-play of it that i typed on another forum:
i walk up to see ppl leaving in supreme huff fashion.
i say.... "hm"
we get sat in groups of 8 around a table.order, from left to right: atl church boy who brought a bible with him, lady who prolly idolizes poprah, fashion stylist man, softspoken smiley white lady,average middle aged black business guy, new friend-guy i met in the line, and an older lady who didnt speak much *shrug
so we introduce ourselves, GREAT
then dude says alright, now that we kno each other, who do you think shouldnt be here?*silence
Im on some hippie shit, im thinking if we go around n tell who, i would say everybody deserves a chance, u knoooo flowers n fairy dust n shit
but we dont go around n circles, u just blurt it out.
First guy to say something, average business black guy in suit calls out male fashion stylist. u already know that that was. he says he doesnt deserve to be here bc all he talked about was fashion.
stylist defends himself reading more stuff from his paper, i dunno.
THEN,
poprah calls me out im like jeeeez typical huh. in my intro i said im at a crossroads, just getting out of school and trying to find that one thing that will catapault me to the level that i deserve to be in, yes those were my exact words, i was kinda hype.
she says i sound like I dont know what i wanna do in life bc i wasnt specific and maybe i should figure out myself before tryna work for diddy
im like *pause
I wanna be great! and what better way to be great than to work for someone greater than you! diddy does everything, why so i have to narrow down what i wanna do in life to be great too??
stare down of me and poprah. me givin her the blank face; not feeling her jean esemble. (sp)
homie i met in the line calls out poprah saying, her intro about her being motivated didnt impress anybody, it just sounded like she was saying it to say it, you dont seem really assured about it.
poprah says, i mean i dont wanna play myself up too much bc i kno time is an issue, (boo) but i AM cocky (i stifle a laugh here)and im not mediocre (she stole my freakin word!)
fashion stylist agrees with homie saying, puffy will agree with me when i say image is everythang, *does a dismissive glance her way* dress for the interview! (i decide to not be happy they destroyed her shit)
THEN,soft spoken white lady calls me out, again! saying i have no experience and maybe i need to work some more first. i say WHO ELSE HAS WORKED FOR A HIGH PROFILE INDIVIDUAL HERE!? church boy says ME
business blk man says ME
I ask who
church boy: "tyler perry"Avg BB:" some name i've never heard of"
I ask casting guy "oh so youre supposed to have worked for tyler perry or russell simmons or something before you can work for diddy?"he says "no of course not"I say, Oh I thought I was right about that...SSWL says, "but you still need to work more to know what you want to do in life"I say, "I have worked before! Don't get it twisted! Thats how I know what I DON'T wanna do. All I see is mediocricy out here and thats not me. If I become diddys assistant, I WILL BE DIDDYS ASSISTANT. and I will be great at it because thats all I can be. I feel that job is worth me being great at.
Homie jumps in on her and says nobody can hear you anyway and diddys life is hectic and you seem as if you'd crumple under pressure.she talks about her being able to fly planes
I say "we aint talkin about planes right now though!"
times up , Chuch boy across from me looks at me seethingly....I still try to get a smile from him because he was KRUTE.no such luck.we all file out, dude thanks everybody and says "good job standing up for urself!"i was like *sheeeewwwwwwwwwww.i had no idea all that was gonna go on but hey.them jumpin all on me prolly made me stand out so we shall see. LoL!"
Well that's all for now, well this blog, thanks for all the people that voted for me on that other thingy, hopefully it will all serve as some sort of factor for their decision! Then this blog will get all super type and high profalikted! holler! :D
